Welcome!
I use this space to post miscellaneous things that I find interesting or that I am working on.
I have 10+ years experience developing data science solutions for large organizations, including Intel, NAVAIR, and Bridgestone. My full resume is here. I specialize in introducing organizations with basic data storage and action-readiness to modern machine-learning and data retrieval practices. I am most experienced with chemical and industrial practices, and I am very familiar with being data-rich but insight-poor.
If you would like to have a conversation about getting started with data-driven insights, please reach out! You can find me on LinkedIn, which is a good place to get some more details on my career: Rocco's LinkedIn.
I am generally interested in technology as well. Below you will find a combination of writings, experiments, and even some video games I have produced over the years.

- Covid-19 analysis and dashboard. I put this together in 2020, when my wife and I were trying to decide how to handle things during the early pandemic. Should our kids go to school? How much should we limit our exposure? There really were not a lot of answers in those early days.
- Is the imposter really random in Amaong Us? I did a fun little study on random number generation to show that, yes, even if you are the imposter several times in a row, it is very likely that imposter assignment in the game "Among Us" is completely random. This was a fun activity, and also a sign of just how bored I was during the pandemic in 2020.
- Traffic in the United States. A little analysis of highway traffic in the United States that I put together for a data science course. This was fun to assemble!
